Mukamana Aliné is one of our original Ubushobozi students and has been with us since the project’s inception.

Chantal

Muhawenimana Chantal is one of our original Ubushobozi students, joining the program in 2008.

Marie Claire

Marie Claire was accepted to Ubushobozi in December 2012 and has a family to support.

SALOME

Salomé is the incredibly talented and valuable instructor of our weaving program.

Janvier and Claudine

Janvier is our security guard and handyman. He and his wife Claudine have three children.

Beatrice

Béatrice was accepted to Ubushobozi in 2009. She is very outgoing, friendly and loves to sing.

Jackie

Jackie was accepted to Ubushobozi in June 2010. Jackie feels very optimistic about her future.

Nyabade

Nyabade joined Ubushobozi as out latest student and is the mother of 6 children and the head of her household.

Uwineza

Uwineza is generally shy and reserved, but just watch her play the drums and see her become larger than life!

Ismael

Ismael is our traditional dance instructor. He joined the Ubushobozi family eight years ago.

Byukesenge

Byukusenge Christine was accepted to Ubushobozi in 2009. She is self-motivated and determined.

Margeruite

Margeurite joined Ubushobozi in 2011 and had been living under extremely difficult circumstances.

Patricie

Prior to Ubushobozi, Patricie worked intermittently as a day laborer on the farms of her neighbors.

Seraphine

Seraphine is our world class and fearless Project Manager for our Cooperative. We couldn’t do it without her!
